Freeze-dried technology of Tenebrio molitor, production of freeze-dried breadworm
Breadworm, also known as yellow mealworm, is mainly used to raise special economic animals with higher economic value, such as toads, scorpions, money turtles, ornamental fish, birds, frogs and so on. It can also be used as a feed additive for general livestock and poultry, which can improve product yield and quality.
The mealworm freeze-drying technology is different from the traditional high-temperature drying method. The breadworms that have been vacuum-dried at low temperature through a freeze dryer have no loss of nutritional components, and their physical structure is basically not affected. There will be no surface pore shrinkage or internal water loss. Dry out occurs and the drying efficiency is higher.
The traditional high-temperature drying method leads to loss of nutrients and shrinkage, which leads to the phenomenon of hollowing of the breadworm.
Freeze-dried bread worms production method:
1. First clean up the bread bug and pick out the dead bugs;
2, flat and covered with special tray for freeze dryer;
3. Put it into the freeze-drying room of the freeze-dryer equipment that is turned on in advance to prevent the crawling of bread bugs at low temperatures;
4. Wait for the freeze-drying program of the freeze-dryer to run automatically. (The second-generation upgraded small-scale freeze-dryer has a reminder function after the freeze-drying, intelligent control saves time, effort and peace of mind);
5. Take out the freeze-dried breadworm and seal it.
